Mainz striker Bance opts for Dubai switch

08/16/2010 - Mainz, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Mainz striker Aristide Bance has left the Bundesliga for Dubai outfit Al-Ahli.

The 25-year-old Burkina Faso international scored 24 goals in 62 appearances but has agreed to a four-year contract with Al-Ahli after signing for an undisclosed fee.

Sporting director Christian Heidel explained: "Aristide Bance had already made us aware of his wishes to leave the club a few weeks ago. His reasons were both financial and for his family.

"We regret this decision, but after giving it plenty of thought, we decided to grant him his wish.

"We've had two great years with him here at Mainz and we wish him all the best for the future."
