08/03/2010 - Tulsa, OK (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Alabama wide receiver C.J. JOHNSON, Arizona wide receiver ROD WINDSOR and Iowa defensive back JASON SIMPSON have been named the JLS Ironman, Russell Athletic Offensive Players and Riddell Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for Week 18 of 2010. In addition to these three awards, the AFL is also highlighting the player who makes the best Catch of the Week, the Playmaker of the Week and the Highlight of the Week. The Cutters Catch of the Week Award for Week 18 goes to Orlando wide receiver T.T. TOLIVER, while Orlando quarterback NICK HILL has been named the Playmaker of the Week. The Highlight of the Week award has gone to Jacksonville's defensive lineman JEFF LITTLEJOHN and Milwaukee's quarterback CHRIS GREISEN.

JLS IRONMAN OF THE WEEK

Johnson (5-10, 185, Tennessee State) was the main target for new Vipers quarterback Clint Stoerner in their win over Utah. With 11 receptions, Johnson was the top receiver for Alabama with 114 yards and three touchdowns. His third touchdown of the night came at the end of the second quarter, giving Alabama a 42-28 lead at halftime. Johnson's highlight was his first score of the night when he returned a 56-yard kickoff to take the lead, 14-7. Johnson returned nine kickoffs for a season high 218 yards.

RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Windsor (6-2, 210, Western New Mexico) has the statistics of a veteran after just one season in the League. Windsor is No. 1 in eight categories this season, including total scoring (328), total receiving yards (2372) and total receptions (193), breaking AFL all-time records in receptions and receiving yards. Against Iowa, Windsor added more impressive statistics with 15 receptions for 234 yards and three touchdowns. The wide receiver broke the AFL rookie record and Arizona's franchise record for touchdown receptions in a single season in the loss to Iowa.

RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Simpson (6-1, 198, Missouri) stacked up statistics in almost every defensive category in Iowa's win over Arizona. The fourth quarter was huge for Simpson, intercepting his sixth pass of the season and returning it for a 48-yard touchdown. Simpson also blocked a field goal in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Iowa would ultimately outscore Arizona 31-13 in the final quarter. Simpson also accounted for three tackles, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and pass breakup in Iowa's final game of the season.
